Highly Skilled Teaching Assistant

Term Time plus 5 Training Days – 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 4.00 pm, 30 min lunch 

Grade 7 Point 12 Actual Salary £21,401 

An exciting opportunity to be part of a new and developing school which aims to be an outstanding provider to children in the local area. We are looking to appoint a creative, motivated and caring Highly Skilled Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated staff. The successful candidate will deliver lessons planned by the class teacher to classes across the school (currently within Nursery, Reception and Key Stage One). As our school grows, there will be opportunities to teach within Key Stage Two classes. Much of the week will involve providing PPA for teachers, as well delivering planned interventions for some of our children. This post would ideally suit a Teaching Assistant who has worked/is working in a primary school and is looking to develop their experience further. We are looking to appoint a qualified HLSA.

Who are we? 

The Manor Drive Primary Academy is a new school in the north of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The school welcomed the first cohort of Reception children in September 2022 and will continue to grow year on year. At Manor Drive Primary Academy we pride ourselves on having a strong wellbeing ethos whilst ensuring our children are the focus of everything we do. Our values of ‘Work Hard, Be Kind and Be Brave” are embedded in our teaching strategies and the expectations we have for staff and pupils.
