Reception Stay and Play Session Brings Families Together at Manor Drive Primary Academy

Friday 19th June marked the final Reception Stay and Play session of the academic year at Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, with a fantastic turnout from parents and families.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for parents to spend time in the classroom, playing and learning alongside their children while gaining a deeper insight into life in Reception. Throughout the session, children were excited to share their favourite activities and learning environments with their families, proudly demonstrating the skills and confidence they have developed over the year.
Parents joined in with a range of engaging activities, from creative play and construction challenges to early reading, writing and mathematical learning experiences. The classroom was filled with enthusiasm, laughter and meaningful conversations as families worked together and celebrated children's achievements.
The Stay and Play sessions have been a valuable part of the Reception experience this year, helping to strengthen the partnership between home and school. They have provided opportunities for parents to see first-hand how learning takes place through play and exploration, while also supporting their child's development and growing independence.
Reception staff would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents and carers who attended the final session and who have supported these events throughout the year. Their involvement plays an important role in helping children feel confident, valued and successful in their learning journey.
As the Reception children prepare for their next exciting step into Year One, this final Stay and Play session was a fitting celebration of an enjoyable and successful year. The academy looks forward to continuing to work closely with families in the years ahead.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the final Reception Stay and Play session such a memorable occasion.
