Swimming Lessons Arrive at Manor Drive Primary Academy
From Monday 21st September to Friday 9th October, Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, is thrilled to introduce a brand‑new opportunity for pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6, on-site swimming lessons delivered through our fully equipped pop‑up heated swimming pool.
The pool, installed on our KS2 playground, includes dedicated changing facilities and will be led by a qualified Swim Ed Instructor, ensuring safe, high‑quality teaching throughout the programme.
A Buzz of Excitement Across the School
The appearance and construction of the pop‑up pool has certainly caught the children’s attention. Pupils have been curious, enthusiastic and full of questions, watching the setup unfold with great excitement. Their anticipation has created a wonderful sense of energy across the playground as they look forward to taking part in swimming lessons right here at school.
Why Swimming Matters
Swimming is an essential life skill and a key part of the PE curriculum. Hosting lessons on-site allows us to provide consistent, accessible teaching that builds confidence, develops technique, and supports pupils in becoming safe, capable swimmers.
When Lessons Will Take Place
Swimming sessions will run daily for three weeks: Monday 21st September – Friday 9th October All pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 will take part daily.
