Wearing Red to Stand Together Against Racism

At Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, children and staff came together to support Show Racism the Red Card by wearing something red and taking part in a day of learning and reflection.
The day began with a whole-school assembly where we discussed the importance of recognising and celebrating the things that make us unique. Pupils explored how our differences should be valued and celebrated, helping to create a community where everyone feels welcome and respected.
During the assembly, we reflected on the importance of respect, kindness and equality, and talked about every person's right to be treated fairly and with dignity. Children shared their thoughts about how they can demonstrate these values in their everyday actions, both within school and beyond.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of age-appropriate activities which further developed their understanding of anti-racism, inclusion and belonging. These activities encouraged thoughtful discussion and helped children understand the positive impact they can have by treating others with respect and standing up against discrimination.
At Manor Drive Primary Academy, we are proud to be a school where everyone is valued, supported and included. Days such as these reinforce the message that lies at the heart of our school community:
We all belong at Manor Drive. ❤️
We would like to thank all of our pupils, staff and families for supporting this important event and helping to promote a culture of respect, kindness and inclusion for all.
