The children at Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, enjoyed an assembly delivered by Youth Dreams Project Ltd (YDP) to promote their Easter Half Term Camps. These action-packed camps provide children with the opportunity to stay active, make new friends and enjoy a wide variety of fun activities during the school holidays.
The HAF camps are designed for children aged 5–16 and focus on creating an engaging, supportive environment where children can build confidence, develop new skills and most importantly have fun. Delivered by experienced sports coaches, the sessions encourage children to:
Stay active through a range of sports and games
Build confidence and teamwork skills
Try new activities in a supportive environment
Develop positive friendships
Improve both physical and mental wellbeing
Each day is packed with exciting activities. Children may take part in sports such as:
Football
Basketball
Tennis
Rounders
Dodgeball
Cricket
Gymnastics
Dance and Multi-Skills sessions
The programme also includes fun games, challenges and occasionally inflatable activities to keep children engaged and entertained throughout the day. While activities vary throughout the week, a typical day may include:
Registration and warm-up games
Multiple sports coaching sessions
Snack and lunch breaks
Team games and challenges
End-of-day celebration and recap
The camps are designed to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring all children feel welcome and able to participate.
Sessions take place at Manor Drive Secondary Academy, Porter Avenue, Peterborough.
