Year 2 Enjoy Hands-On Food Technology Lesson

Year Two pupils at Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, recently took part in an exciting Food Technology lesson where they created their own vegetable kebabs.

The children worked with a range of healthy vegetables, developing their food preparation skills while learning the importance of safety when cutting and handling ingredients. They showed great care and responsibility as they prepared their kebabs, demonstrating growing confidence in the kitchen.

As part of the lesson, pupils also explored how food engages the senses. They discussed what they could see, smell, taste, and feel throughout the process, helping them to better understand the sensory experience of preparing and eating food.

This enjoyable, hands-on activity combined practical skills with healthy eating awareness, making it a valuable and memorable learning experience for all involved.
