Four Cs Trust Unites for First Whole‑Trust Professional Training Day

On Monday 13th April, staff from across the Four Cs Trust came together for a landmark occasion, our very first whole‑Trust professional training day. It was a fantastic opportunity for colleagues from Manor Drive Primary Academy to join with peers from both primary and secondary settings for a shared day of professional development and collaboration.
Teaching staff, senior leaders, governors and trustees were able to select from a wide range of workshops, each linked by a golden thread of inclusion through the Trust’s HELP strategy. The variety of sessions ensured that everyone could engage with meaningful, relevant training that will directly enhance the experiences of pupils across all Four Cs schools.
A highlight of the day was hearing from guest speaker Chris Such, who shared his expertise on the science of reading. His insights offered valuable guidance and reinforced our Trust‑wide commitment to evidence‑informed practice.
Throughout the day, each school showcased examples of excellent practice, providing inspiration and sparking rich professional conversations. It was wonderful to network with colleagues from across the Trust and celebrate the collective strengths of our community.
This hugely successful event was made possible thanks to the hard work and organisation of Ben Erskine and the Four Cs central team. We are grateful for such a worthwhile and energising day, one that has strengthened our shared vision and will have a lasting impact on teaching and learning across the Trust.
