KS1 Explore Coding Skills with Beebots

Pupils in Key Stage One have been busy developing their early programming skills this week as they explored forward and backwards movements using Beebots.

The children worked in small groups to plan and test simple sequences, each starting from the same point on the grid. By predicting what would happen before pressing “go,” they were able to see how accurate their instructions were and make adjustments when needed. The activity encouraged problem‑solving, teamwork, and logical thinking, key foundations for computing across the curriculum.

Teachers said the class showed growing confidence in understanding how digital devices follow commands. The session also sparked plenty of excitement as pupils watched the Beebots buzz along their programmed routes.
