How Amazing Are Year Two’s Pocket Monsters?

Our talented Year Two children have been busy developing their Design and Technology skills during their CUSP Textiles unit, and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved!

Over the past few weeks, the children have been learning a range of new textile skills, including how to thread a needle, sew carefully, and join two pieces of fabric together. These are not easy skills to master, but the children approached every lesson with enthusiasm, determination and resilience.

Using their new knowledge and techniques, the children designed and created their very own Pocket Monsters. From colourful characters to quirky creatures, each one is unique and showcases the imagination and creativity of its designer. The children worked hard to develop their sewing skills, learning how to handle tools safely and accurately while creating a finished product they could be proud of.

A special thank you to our wonderful parents and carers who joined us during some of the sessions to support the children with their sewing techniques. Your encouragement, patience and expertise helped to make the experience even more enjoyable and successful, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.

We have been so impressed by the perseverance, concentration and pride shown throughout the project. The finished Pocket Monsters are fantastic, and the children should be very proud of their achievements.

Well done, Year Two, your Pocket Monsters are absolutely amazing!
