Reception Class Enjoy a Fantastic Day at West Lodge Farm

Reception pupils from Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, had a wonderful day visiting West Lodge Farm as part of their current topic work.
The children were excited to explore the farm and learn more about a variety of animals. During their visit, they saw a wide range of farm animals and enjoyed some very special hands-on experiences. The children had the opportunity to meet and handle friendly rabbits and guinea pigs, which was a highlight of the day for many.
There was plenty of fun and adventure throughout the visit. The children enjoyed a tractor ride around the farm, followed by a thrilling barrel ride that brought lots of laughter and smiles. They also had time to explore the adventure playground, where they climbed, balanced and played together.
One of the most memorable experiences was feeding the goats and watching the exciting pig races. The children were also fascinated to see the piglets being herded and learnt more about how farmers care for their animals.
The visit provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to bring their classroom learning to life, developing their understanding of farm animals and life on a working farm through real-life experiences.
A huge thank you to all the staff who supported the trip and helped make it such an enjoyable and memorable day for the children. Your support is greatly appreciated and helped ensure the visit was a wonderful success.
The Reception team were incredibly proud of the children's enthusiasm, excellent behaviour and willingness to try new experiences throughout the day. They returned to school with lots of happy memories and plenty of stories to share.
