MDPA Remembers

Whole School Remembrance Assembly at Manor Drive Primary Academy

This morning, the whole school gathered together for a special Remembrance Assembly led by The Reverend George. The hall was filled with a quiet sense of reflection as pupils and staff came together to honour those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.

Reverend George led the assembly with warmth and sincerity, helping the children to understand the importance of remembrance and why we wear poppies as a symbol of respect and gratitude. Through thoughtful words and prayer, he encouraged everyone to think about peace, kindness, and the role we all play in creating a better world.

Pupils listened attentively as the story of remembrance was shared, and reflected on the courage and selflessness shown by so many.

The assembly concluded with a quiet moment of reflection, reminding everyone of the continuing significance of remembrance today.

Manor Drive Primary Academy is proud of how respectfully and thoughtfully all pupils took part in this important occasion. It was a moving and meaningful start to the day, helping our school community to pause, remember, and give thanks.
