Lower Key Stage Two Educational Visit to Birmingham Thinktank

Pupils in Lower Key Stage Two at Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, recently enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to Birmingham Thinktank Science Museum as part of their ongoing learning in Science and English.

The visit provided children with a fantastic opportunity to explore a wide range of interactive exhibits, helping to bring their classroom learning to life. From discovering how the human body works to experimenting with forces and motion, pupils were fully engaged in hands-on activities that sparked curiosity and enthusiasm.

A highlight of the day was the science show, where pupils observed impressive demonstrations and learnt about scientific concepts in a fun and memorable way. The interactive nature of the museum encouraged pupils to ask questions, think critically, and deepen their understanding of key scientific ideas.

The trip also supported pupils’ English learning, as they gathered ideas and experiences to inspire their writing. Back in the classroom, children will use their visit as the basis for descriptive recounts, reports, and creative pieces, helping them to develop their vocabulary and writing skills.

Staff were incredibly proud of the pupils, who represented the school brilliantly with their excellent behaviour, curiosity, and positive attitudes throughout the day.

This memorable visit has not only enriched pupils’ knowledge but also inspired a love of learning that will continue back in the classroom.
