A Special Visit to Explore the Muslim Faith

Pupils in Years Two and Three at Manor Drive Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Trust, recently enjoyed a special visit from a local Imam, Imad Ud-Din. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for children to learn more about the Muslim faith and deepen their understanding of different cultures and beliefs.
Imam Imad Ud-Din spoke to the children about important aspects of Islam, including the significance of Ramadan. He explained how Muslims observe this holy month through fasting, prayer, and acts of kindness, helping pupils to appreciate the values of reflection, generosity, and community.
The children were particularly engaged as they were shown a prayer mat and learnt how it is used in daily worship. Imam Imad Ud-Din also shared a range of Muslim artefacts, giving pupils a hands-on experience and bringing their learning to life.
The visit was an enriching experience for all, supporting the school’s commitment to promoting respect, understanding, and curiosity about the wider world.
