Miss Mason is a passionate, dedicated and determined practitioner who devotes her time to making the children’s experience of learning one that they will cherish. She is a kind, caring and nurturing teacher who builds meaningful relationships with all her students in order to support them in the best way possible. One of Miss Mason’s favourite things to do in the classroom is read stories aloud and engage the children with her enthusiasm and her character voices.

When she graduated in 2014, Miss Mason spent time working in nursery settings before training to teach at Fulbridge Academy; a large primary school in Peterborough and the primary lead of the 4Cs MAT. She began her teaching career in Year 2 in which she saw her pupils achieve rewarding results in their end of key stage assessments. Since then, she has gained a wealth of experience teaching in all year groups across the primary school: administering Key Stage 2 SATs with Year 6 children, Baseline assessments with Reception children and Phonics screening assessments with children in Years 1 and 2.

Prior to becoming the Early Years Lead at MDPA, Miss Mason has gained experience in leadership, leading in both curricular (specifically mathematics) and phase leadership; leading Phase 2 (Year 2 & 3) then Phase 1 (Nursery, Reception & Year 1).

The opportunity to shape the foundations of a brand-new academy in Peterborough excites her, and she can’t wait to meet the very first cohort of children and see them through their unique Manor Drive journey.
