Meet the Headteacher
It is an enormous honour and privilege to be headteacher at a brand new primary school. I have been working on the project since early 2020 and it is incredibly exciting to see my vision become a reality.
Whilst growing up, I always knew that I would work with children. After my degree from Durham University I left the UK to teach abroad for two years, before returning to complete a master’s degree. I then moved to Peterborough in 2009. I currently teach at Fulbridge Academy in the city, where I became Phase Leader and then Assistant Principal. These positions have given me the opportunity to experience all elements of academic life, including developing staff, curriculum planning, raising standards, supporting pupil premium students, leading on behaviour and supporting inclusion. These experiences have shown me the vital importance of working in partnership with parents, colleagues and the community. This will be central to the ethos of Manor Drive.
Designing and planning for Manor Drive Primary Academy has been an incredible journey so far with both challenges and triumphs. I look forward to the next stages as we prepare to open in September 2022.
I hope that you feel some of the same enthusiasm for our new school. I look forward to meeting you in the coming months to share more about Manor Drive Primary Academy and to hear your views.
